Frequently Asked Questions

I provide individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety and depression, PTSD and complex trauma, grief and loss, life transitions and identity changes, attachment, stress, emotional overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion. I also work with new and expecting parents navigating pregnancy, postpartum depression, and the transition to parenthood.
I also offer couples therapy. Rather than focusing on blame or figuring out who’s “right,” I work with couples to understand emotional patterns, improve communication and emotional safety, explore attachment needs, and rebuild trust and connection. I believe having both partners present allows us to better understand the relational system and support meaningful change together.

I provide virtual therapy to eligible clients throughout Colorado. Clients must maintain a primary residence in Colorado and be physically located in Colorado during every session.

I am a private-pay provider and do not accept insurance at this time. I am happy to provide an itemized receipt (often called a superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Because out-of-network benefits vary by plan, I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to understand your coverage and reimbursement options.

Choosing private pay can offer greater privacy and flexibility in how we approach your care.
Insurance companies often require a mental health diagnosis and documentation to determine medical necessity and coverage. With private pay you are not required to have a diagnosis to simply participate in therapy, your information is not shared with insurance companies, allowing for increased privacy and confidentiality.
Private pay therapy allows us to focus on you rather than on labels or medical necessity criteria.
Being private pay also gives us greater freedom in how we work together. Without insurance-mandated treatment plans or session limits, therapy can be more integrative and responsive to your unique needs, pace, and goals.
Most importantly, private pay allows our work to remain a collaborative space, one where care is guided by what feels meaningful and supportive for you—not on insurance requirements or labels.

Yes! I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots for clients experiencing financial hardship. A reduced fee is a lower session rate than my standard fee, and the amount is determined together based on your circumstances and needs. Availability is limited and determined on a case-by-case basis, but please feel free to inquire if you believe you may qualify.
-
A sliding scale means that the cost of therapy is adjusted based on your financial circumstances rather than being the same for everyone. If you are interested in a reduced fee, we can talk about what feels financially realistic for you and determine a rate together. Reduced-fee appointments are limited and depend on availability.
-
Yes. I ask that all new clients begin with a consultation call before scheduling an initial therapy session. This gives us a chance to talk briefly about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you may have, and make sure we both feel like working together would be a good fit.
-
Slide into my DMs, shoot me a text, email me, use my contact page—whatever feels the most you. I’ll take it from there.
I will respond as soon as I’m available, typically within 24 hours, and we’ll get you scheduled for a free 15-minute consultation call.
During our consultation, we’ll talk about what you’re looking for in therapy and in a therapist to make sure I can offer what you’re seeking. I’ll tell you a little about myself and how I approach therapy, and there will be plenty of time for you to ask any questions you may have. We’ll also go over the logistics, like fees and availability.
If you’re ready to get started, we can schedule your intake session right away. If you’d rather take some time to think it over, that’s completely okay too. No pressure, no hard feelings.
If you decide to move forward with me, we’ll schedule your intake session based on my earliest availability. During the intake, we’ll go over things like confidentiality and consent, talk more about your history and what brings you to therapy, and start getting to know each other.
After that, we’ll officially get started with therapy.
And don't be scared—I promise I don’t bite.

I understand that life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full cost of service. This policy allows me to reserve consistent, dedicated time for each client.
